MONROE, IN – An Adams County woman died when her vehicle struck a concrete bridge abutment near Monroe last night.

26-year-old Megan Sue Masters of Linn Grove died on Adams County Road 500 West near 100 South around 10:30 p-m.

State Police say it appears Masters lost control of her Cadillac, causing it to spin before hitting the bridge.
She was not wearing a seat belt.

Excessive speed is believed to have contributed to the crash.

An autopsy is planned.
