Water, sewer issues dominate Lagrange Town Board
By: Tim Murray - Tuesday, October 22, 2019

LAGRANGE – The Lagrange Town Board heard ideas for adding a surcharge to water and sewer users outside the town limits Monday evening.

The idea is to recover the additional cost to serve users outside the town.

The town attorney will meet with the town manager and and clerk to review the options before making a recommendation to the town board.

The board approved the contract for phase one of the water treatment plant project with DLZ Engineering. Phase one takes the project through about 60% of the preliminary design of the four phase project.

Some unexpected delays have pushed back completion of the Poplar Street water and sewer project to mid-November.

The board approved up to $20-thousand dollars to repair a lift station behind Pizza Hut.
