ANGOLA – A Florida man died after the box truck he was driving left US 20 east of Angola and struck an unoccupied house Thursday afternoon.

51-year-old Randy Aldridge told rescuers he blacked out before crashing.

Aldridge was pinned in the wreckage and had to be freed by Angola and Metz firefighters.

He was taken to Cameron Hospital where he died from chest trauma.

The crash happened around 4:30 p-m near State Road 1.
