EMMA – Westview School Board members adopted a $29-million dollar school budget Thursday evening.
Director of Finance Brian Christner told the board property tax rates should remain flat thanks to a big increase in assessed values. They are up $67-million, an increase of 5.9%.
The board also held a public hearing on the proposed collective bargaining agreement with teachers. The agreement calls for an increase of 3.3% in the district’s compensation model, amounting to $250-thousand dollars.
The board is scheduled to adopt the agreement next month.
