Recent run of vehicle thefts has LCSD preaching caution
By: Tim Murray - Friday, September 13, 2019

LAGRANGE – There was a time when nearly everyone in Lagrange County thought nothing of leaving their car keys in their vehicle.

Empty running cars were commonplace at the post office or the supermarket.

That time is over says the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office.

In a Facebook post this week they urged residents not to leave keys or valuables in vehicles...noting there is a recent rash of vehicle thefts in the county.

Don’t keep things like purses, wallets, credit cards, driver’s license or social security cards in your vehicle.

And don’t leave a garage door opener in your car if you aren’t going to lock it.
