LIGONIER – A longtime West Noble teacher was in intensive care after his bicycle was struck by a U-Haul van Friday evening.

The driver of the van – Ryan Gravit of Lagrange – was eventually located in Ligonier and charged with allegedly Operating While Intoxicated causing serious bodily injury.

The van reportedly left the scene but was located with damage to the hood and windshield on the driver’s side.
