PORTER TOWNSHIP – A Hudson, Indiana man was injured in a weekend crash in Cass County, Michigan.
The Cass County Sheriff's Department responded at 1:20 AM Saturday. Deputies say 34 year old Joshua Austin was driving south in the 69,000 block of South River Road when he failed to negotiate a curve. Austin's vehicle left the roadway, striking a tree and a chain link fence.
Austin suffered a head injury and was taken to Elkhart General Hospital. Deputies say Austin was not wearing his seatbelt and alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.
