LAGRANGE COUNTY – It was 21 years ago today that an Indiana State Police officer lost his life in LaGrange County.
Master Trooper David Deuter of Angola was patrolling the Indiana Toll Road in LaGrange County when he stopped to assist a motorist.
While standing beside the driver’s side door, Deuter was struck by a westbound semi tractor-trailer and died from his injuries. He was 49.
