Sheriff's officers solve Fish Lake Estates burglary

SHIPSHEWANA – LaGrange County Sheriff’s deputies arrested three persons during the service of a search warrant near Shipshewana Tuesday morning.

The warrant arose from an investigation of the June 28th burglary of a structure at Fish Lake Estates near 1150 West and 800 North.

Information from the victim, tips from the public, and assistance from the Lake Association web site resulted in the identification of suspects.

33-year-old Chris Champaign of County Road 770 North near Shipshewana was charged with burglar, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia.

38-year-old Anthony Hazard of Three Rivers was charged with burglary, visiting a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia.

57-year-old Dawn Miller of Dowagiac was charged with visiting a common nuisance.

Officers retrieved and returned most of the stolen property to its owner.
