STURGIS – More bones were discovered this morning at that excavation site south of Sturgis.
Sturgis Police say the additional remains were being collected for examination.
There’s a theory being investigated that the remains may belong to some original settlers of Sturgis.
That information came from St. Joseph County’s Veteran’s Affairs Coordinator Stoney Summey. They’re trying to verify that account and see if there are any Civil War connections to a possible burial site.
