Prairie Heights Malone transfers to Colorado

(UNDATED) – Elijah Malone is taking his talents west. The Prairie Heights graduate has committed to play basketball for the Colorado Buffaloes in the 2024-2025 season. Malone played four years at Grace College, and NAIA school, and was named the NAIA Player of the Year for 2023-2024. Malone helped Grace to a 34-2 record that came to an end in the NAIA Semifinals. He also won the prestigious Bevo Francis Award, which honors the top small college player in the nation, encompassing Division II, Division III, NAIA and the junior college levels. Malone played in all 36 games for Grace this past season, averaging 17.3 points and 8.3 rebounds. He also shot 36.9% from three point range. For his career at Grace, Malone averaged 14.1 points and 7.3 rebounds, shooting 65.3%. A native of LaGrange, Malone visited Indiana prior to visiting Colorado. The Hoosiers ultimately landed former Arizona center Oumar Ballo.
